Seascapes are truly magical aren’t they
Living on our island means we’re never really that far from the Sea
Which means we’re never that far from having a paddle, scoffing fish & chips while avoiding the ever hungry Gulls, overpriced ice-cream and some of the best subjects for our Photography too
Capturing the essence of the seaside allows us to focus on fabulous sunsets & sunrises; to partake of ‘Fine Art Photography’ in all its B&W minimalism; long-exposures to flatten the sea and fast-exposures to capture every drop in a breaking wave; and, of course, all those defining details that SCREAM the British seaside experience we all LOVE so much
A few hours or an entire day at the coast is rarely wasted for Photography. Its probably the easiest of locations to always find something to shoot, even where the sea has truly ‘sodded off’ so far out its barely visible
Its also great for sunny midday photos too, where the use of such as Long or Simulated Long Exposures can even remove those pesky people if you’d rather them not be there; though there are many times where some people are welcome as compositional aids, adding scale, or even just spot colour interest
So let’s get some wellies on, or sand between our tootsies, and get out there enjoying some of Britain’s amazingly varied coast
